Microsoft and Techstars, a tech accelerator, is supporting Kinect app developers. I first sighted this on BusinessInsider but later sighted this all over the web. The program will support 10 developers with $20,000 each for a period of 3 months.
Kinect has been Microsoft's most loved gadget so far. There have been a plethora of gadgets. It even prompted a Google April Fools Day spoof that seemed inspired by Kinect.
Microsoft on its part though seems to have taken things seriously. Spoof or not. There are reports of its researchers toying with the idea of fitting every board room with a Kinect. Corporate exectutives can now pow-wow virtually in realy time.
So lets' wait and watch what the new program throws up -- seriously.
